July 31, 2009 – Lava New Media, LLC has been selected by UPMC’s Smart Room Team to be its design and development partner with its latest state-of-the-art project, the Smart Room. The Smart Room is UPMC’s revolutionary new technology that brings hospital rooms, wings and entire floors into the digital communications age. It offers up-to-date tasks and reporting, laser pointed interface screens for patients and caregivers and real-time detailed reporting. Lava New Media is responsible for the complete design and layout as well as the coding and development for each element of the application.
